CHEP In-person workshop: Spotlight on Student Peer Support at University of Southampton
Wednesday 5th July 2023, 1:30pm
This session will start with a brief review of what student peer support has looked like at the university for the past year. With an opportunity to hear from both staff and students working on these projects, good practice will be shared via short “lightning talks” so this is set to be fast paced and thought provoking.
This
event is intended for both current members of the university’s student
peer support network but also for those who want to hear more about how
to implement student peer support or peer learning in their
faculty/school. We will also hear from colleagues in the Academic Skills
service about what they can offer students and how colleagues can
integrate this within their student peer support schemes.
We
encourage attendees to “bring a colleague” to help increase knowledge
and awareness of student peer support. We always welcome new membership
to the network. Light refreshments will be on offer.
This
session is suitable for anyone who already has some form of student
peer support in place or those interested in exploring this topic.
