UoS Music Presents: Trans Voices - Concert for International Trans Day of Remembrance

Lunchtime concert presented by the University of Southampton Music Department.
Trans Voices is the UK’s first professional trans+ choir, launched in 2022 with a Guardian Films documentary about trans joy in the context of the choir’s formation and debut project at Union Chapel, London. More than a choir, the sound of this bold new community is utterly distinctive: from hypnotic meditative pieces like ‘Allow’ to the raw call to action of ‘Reclaim’. This concert is supported by Dr David Bretherton’s UK Arts and Humanities Research Council fellowship ‘Queer Music, Queer Theory, Queer Music Theory’. (Grant Reference: AH/P007740/1).
Entrance is FREE and all are welcome. All audience members must book a ticket.
